Crockpot Savings

~ Pick your favorite recipes and turn them into "crockpot" recipes
~ Cook a whole chicken slowly (8 hours) by adding 1/4 cup water, garlic, pepper, and lemon juice
~ Save leftover juices and trimmings from a roast to use as stock
~ No quick trips to the grocery store or fast food joint if you've cooked a meal in a crockpot
~ Cooking large roasts, stews, or soups will yield multiple meals
~ Beans are a cheap substitute for meat so cook up a big pot and don't forget the cornbread
~ Energy costs are less than if you use an oven, stove, or microwave
